Todd's Blog

Todd has decided to break off and start his own blog. For those of you who are interested in reading about Todd's life, daily events, and his thoughts and feelings, you can at spiritoftodd.blogspot.com. No guarantees that it will be interesting, but you never know! ;)

Slow Day

Well, it was a slow day for Todd at work and he was up to his usual mischief. One of his coworkers implied that I was the only one in the family who had any talent, and so Todd set out to prove her wrong. The images below were the result. This is precisely why we try to keep Todd busy...

For those of you who can't tell from the last picture, the name tag says "Todd". Kinda looks like him huh? They even kept his head porportioned, "it's like an orange on a toothpick!" :)

Halloween

Todd had to be in costume friday for work and his coworkers had a 'Grease' theme. Below are a few pictures of Todd and David who we dressed to match. The girls Todd works with were pretty excited about the theme, so Todd decided to play a prank on them. He showed up to work Friday morning decked out as a cowboy. You should have seen their faces! They were furious. Because I had tagged along they didn't say anything, but you could tell they were pretty peeved. Todd went and changed into a greaser and they all had a good laugh about it. Friday was also our first real snowfall of the year. Yipee!

Halloween was completely last minute this year, but totally worth it. We had planned to get toghether with a couple friends in the afternoon to carve pumpkins, decorate cookies, and hang out. We went out and got two pumpkins from Albertson's and a carving kit Saturday morning. The party was a blast and we all had a great time. Afterwards we got David dressed up to go trick-or-treating. Unfortunately the little bugger was in a pretty sour mood so we didn't go to many houses. All-in-all we had a great Halloween.

Here are some pictures

David walk straight into the snow and fell face first!

"You talkin' to me?"

I participated in the Farmer's Market a couple weeks ago and even though it was slow, David and I sure had fun. He did a good job at keeping me busy.

Enjoying a pancake dinner.

Flirting with the girl from the next booth over...

Pretending to be asleep...

Last week Todd brought home a Jamba Juice for us to share and I think David got the most.

Yum, yum, yum...
He's starting to be okay wearing hats, so I am putting them on him all the time now.

Right now David loves anything he can push...

Spin David, Spin!

This morning he fed himself cereal and he didn't spill very much milk, I was very impressed.

Our Adorable Little Boy

Over our fear of the dryer. Although after a weekend in Yellowstone, nothing could upset this kid.

Who dares disturb my slumber?

Playing in the dryer.

After the trip to Yellowstone, he was so happy to be home and to see himself again.

We're learning to wear hats.

I warned him that pianos bite, but do kids listen?

I found him relaxing, just playing with the phone.

They learn all too quickly.

Can he reach it?

He can actually reach the door handle. Luckily, he can't figure out exactly how to pull it open yet.

Quelf

It's a crazy game that gets you to do crazy things, but oh so much fun.

Another game ending with Todd in lipstick...

A beautiful couple, me in my Halloween mask and him in his lipstick.

Anyone who played with his hair got to move forward, so of course we all did. Good thing Stephanie's a cosmotolegist!

Dave hiding under the table.

Getting his new rule...

If anyone talked to him, he was required to play peek-a-boo with you.

Dave torturing his poor wife because she "had no arms"

Queen Spatula gave Stephanie's no arm rule to Joe...He's trying to roll the die and move his piece.

In the end Joe had to mummify himself...
It was all a lot of fun and it's a great ice breaker!

Crazy Hair Day

Thursday after work, as I was getting ready to go home, the ladies I work with informed me that my hair was too long and I needed a haircut (which was true). This had been going on for a couple days and I decided enough was enough. I messed up my hair, just to show them how long it really is, and made some faces at them. The following pictures are what they caught on camera. They got a pretty good laugh out of it, and it makes me smile, so I thought I would share. All things considered though, hilarious? I think not. That's not the consensus at work however...

As a side note, I think I look like a mad scientist.... Oh, and no bald jokes. :)

School

This post is for Todd.

He works really hard going to school full time while working full time being a husband and a father and we're really proud of him. He's always gotten good grades but this semester he got a 4.0 and was told he had the highest grade in his business law class by his teacher. This is the same teacher that said his tests were really hard(Todd ended up getting all A's on all of these hard tests). Not to boast too much, we're just really proud of him and we want him to know that.

We love you!

We survived!

We took our first real family vacation this weekend and survived it. No major catastrophes or bumps, it turned out really well and we definitely want to go again next year. Thursday - We went up to Yellowstone and camped in Madison. We saw a bear cub on our way into the park, but he disappeared before we were able to get a picture of him.

Friday - We woke up early after a fairly long night, thanks to David, so we set out.

Fountain Paint Pots

The Great Fountain Geyser

The dead bugs

Firehole Lake

Midway Geyser Basin

Grand Prismatic Spring

No Yellowstone Vacation would be complete without....

Giant Crows joining you for lunch,

Our First Bison Sighting (Definitely not the last),

Squirrels,

Elk,

Ninja Chipmunks,

And Ginormous attacking bugs.

After lunch we set back out to find more Elk,

And of course, Bison.

The Lower Falls

The Upper Falls

Like Father, Like Son...

More Elk right next to the road.

Saturday - We went "hunting" for animals and found some pretty fun ones...

Mr. Grumpy Pants

Good Morning Elk

Artists Paintpots

The View From the Top

I know you probably can't tell what you're looking at, but there's a black spot along the tree line and that's a black wolf with a white belly eating lunch.

Of Course more Bison...

Elk Behind the Visitors Center in Mammoth Hot Springs.

We saw three Eagles this day, but couldn't get a picture of any of them. So I took another picture instead...

So much has burned!

Our most exciting catch, I think...

In case you can't tell, it's a Grizzly on top of Mount Washburn

Oh yeah, more Bison...

An Eagle's Nest.

No camping trip is complete without dirt...

Sunday - We had a very relaxing day. We went and saw Old Faithful and surrounding geysers as well as Firehole River, West Thumb Geyser Basin, Fishing Bridge, Hayden Valley, and more Elk.

Firehole River

Snake!

Biscuit Basin

West Thumb Geyser Basin

Classical Music puts him to sleep every time. Fishing Bridge

We spotted them on the road while on our way to Hayden Valley.

For Todd...Note the Bison in the background.

Learning how to bird watch.
This one's different...
He has antlers! All trip we wanted to see a rack and this one was spotted in the bushes, so I snuck up and got a picture.

Learning to play Peek-A-Boo by himself.

Monday - We decided to make our way back through the Tetons.

You can't tell, but this Osprey has a fish in it's claws.

You can't see his expression, but it is pretty funny.

Yes, he's asleep again.
